How to register test-products for reviews (for manufacturer/brands only)

OUTSIDEstories is the largest product experience platform in the German language (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). It presents a successful mix of proven and new products from the outdoor, running, climbing, hiking, biking and winter sports segments. Over 7,500 helpful product reviews of currently 2.158 brands can already be found on OUTSIDEstories (Oct 2022).

The idea: exchange of experience in the community

The core of OUTSIDEstories is to provide purchase decision support by means of authentic product reviews from users. The big advantage: The reviewers have tested the products themselves and under real life conditions and they pass on their know-how honestly and authentically.
Additional price comparisons offer a further purchasing aid.

What makes the reviews on OUTSIDEstories so special?

The decisive difference to reviews on many online shops: The user tests are completely independent of the interests of the shops. Since the users approach their hobby with extreme passion and enthusiasm, fake ratings on OUTSIDEstories don't stand a chance. In addition, every review is checked by the OUTSIDEstories team before being activated.

Actuality of the products on the OUTSIDEstories platform

To ensure that users always find the latest products on the platform, OUTSIDEstories regularly refers products to the ProductScouts team.

The ProductScouts is now a group of around 50 competent users with all kinds of sporting interests. The decisive factor is: They have distinguished themselves through the quality of their ratings and have agreed to check out products regularly and free of charge.

How does the right product get to the right test person?

If you have contacted us, we will ask our ProductScouts (Tester-Team) specifically. We know their core sports disciplines and clothing sizes and can therefore approach them directly. If you are interested in a test and are available, we will arrange contact.   

What do the reviews cost? Where are the products?

Basically the submission of test products costs our ProductScout up to three products is cost free. There are no costs for the reviews (apart from shipping costs and the costs for the product itself).

Our principal: All products will be returned to the manufacturers after the tests are finished or published. Of course our tester love to keep the products. It is your choice. You can decide this in the digital submit form for test products. If the shipping and return is done by OUTSIDEstories, we will charge the shipping costs and a small expense allowance to the manufacturers or their agencies. • The tester have 4 to 6 weeks time for theirs reviews
